HLA/MedicalDirector Digital Health Innovation Award: Application form

The HLA/MedicalDirector Digital Health Innovation Award is funded by MedicalDirector and maintained by the ALIA Health Libraries Australia group. The Award focuses on innovation projects in health care information delivery with practical outcomes. 
The Award is presented annually at a relevant HLA (ALIA) event. The recipient/s are to be presented with a certificate and $3,000 to implement the innovation or further their (or their team’s) professional development in the area of the innovation.

ALIA submission to JCP Inquiry into Electronic Distribution of the Parliamentary Paper Series, May 2010

This submission from the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) recommends the publication of the full text of Parliamentary Papers through a national repository based in the parliamentary network providing long- term access through modern systems supporting full text searching, RSS feeds, alerts and other mechanisms to assist Australians to participate in our great democracy.

 

Trove: the next ten years [slides]

This conference presentation (PowerPoint slides) accompanies the lightning talk which showcases the initial design principles for a new Trove, with an object-oriented approach to enabling serendipity in discovery, revealing and facilitating new connections between objects and texts.
 
In 2017, the Library commenced a process of redesign of the Trove user interface, branding and navigation to revitalise the service. The objectives were to:
