ALIA Australian Public Library Alliance Public Library Survey

Between 18 May and 10 July 2020, the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) ran a survey through Survey Monkey, asking public libraries how they had responded to the COVID-19 lockdown during the month of April, specifically relating to new memberships, loans of print and digital items, delivery or collection services, and virtual storytimes.
93 responses on behalf of 293 central and branch libraries in four states and two territories were received. There were no responses for Tasmania and Victoria.

NextGen Leadership Scorecard survey findings: January 2020

ALIA President Robert Knight has taken leadership as the theme for his presidential year, from May 2019 to May 2020, highlighting the vital role of strong leadership at every level, in order to secure a sustainable future for the library and information sector. The theme has been commended by ALIA Members, who have been keen to participate in what is seen to be a necessary and timely discussion.

Results of the ALIA member survey 2017

Report detailing feedback from survey of Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) members.
To give all ALIA Members the opportunity to provide feedback, every two years ALIA carries out a Membership survey. In 2017, the survey took place from 31 July to 28 August. It was similar in content to those carried out in 2015 and 2013, to help the ALIA Board assess changes in Member interests and concerns.
